$805 Adult · $744 Child · Roundtrip airfare + helicopter flight included
Escape to another Hawaiian island for the day on this all-inclusive, island-hopping adventure. Interisland roundtrip airfare from Oahu to Hilo, ground transportation from the Hilo Airport, a guided sightseeing land tour with lunch and an exciting helicopter tour are all included, so you can simply enjoy the day and leave the planning to us.
Upon landing at the Hilo Airport, walk to the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters heliport nearby for the required 45-minute safety briefing, followed immediately by your 45-minute Circle of Fire helicopter flight over Kilauea and the volcanic coastline. After your flight, you’ll be picked up to join the sightseeing land tour.
Inside Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park you’ll discover the source of the Hawaiian Islands’ creation. See Mauna Loa, which erupted in 2023, and peer into Kilauea’s Halema’uma’u Crater, which has remarkably doubled in size since the 2018 eruption. Watch steam clouds rise at the Steam Vents, walk through the ancient Nahuku Lava Tube (formerly Thurston Lava Tube), enjoy your included to-go lunch and take a leisurely hike around the rim of Akaka Falls.
Please note: Guests on this helicopter version do not visit Rainbow Falls or drive through Hilo Town, since you’ll be on your helicopter flight at that time and join the sightseeing tour already in progress afterward. The park’s main Visitor Center is also temporarily closed for renovations; a temporary visitor center is in use.

Flight times are approximate and subject to change. Itinerary order and stops may vary with park and helicopter conditions, weather and road closures.
A valid government-issued photo ID or passport is required to clear TSA at the Honolulu Airport. For the best helicopter photos and views, wear darker colors to reduce window reflection. The summit can be cool, windy and rainy, so bring a light layer.
To meet aviation security requirements, each guest’s full name, birth date and gender are required when booking, along with weight and height for the helicopter tour. Names must exactly match the name and birth date on your government-issued photo ID or passport for airline check-in. All passengers clear TSA at the Honolulu Airport, so please bring a valid passport or government-issued photo ID.
Airlines change their flight schedules frequently and sometimes at the last minute, so please verify your flight status on your own before traveling.
All passengers are weighed during check-in at the heliport, in compliance with FAA requirements for accurate aircraft weight and balance. Passengers over 240 pounds will be allotted two seats and are responsible for the additional cost of 50% for a second seat.
Guests are advised not to bring large or heavy bags on the flight. For the best photos and views during the helicopter ride, wear darker colors to reduce window reflection.
This tour begins at Honolulu International Airport (HNL), where guests arrive on their own at approximately 5:00 AM. After your interisland flight, the helicopter heliport and roundtrip ground transportation are coordinated from Hilo Airport. You’ll return to Oahu by approximately 9:00 PM.
A full refund is provided with 168 hours (7 days) notice of cancellation prior to the airport meeting time for one-day tours. No-shows incur a full charge. Any airline fees for name or date changes, and any overage fees, are the responsibility of the guest. Refunds are not provided for tours, activities, flights or venues cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control, such as weather or force majeure.
If the helicopter tour must be cancelled for any reason, guests are refunded for the helicopter portion and welcomed on an extended sightseeing land tour that includes a drive through Hilo Town and a stop at Rainbow Falls. Guests who choose to return to Honolulu early or not continue on the land tour receive a refund of the helicopter portion only; any taxi, airline change fees or other expenses are the guest’s responsibility.
This version adds a 45-minute Blue Hawaiian “Circle of Fire” helicopter flight over Kilauea right after you land in Hilo. Because you’re flying during that window, this tour does not include the Rainbow Falls stop or Hilo Town drive that the land-only day trip has.
